Update on the Greenville traffic circle

As of 11:00 a.m. Thursday, the circle remained closed off for a block in each direction. Steer clear for now - although the repaving looks close to being completed.

  1. Not a soul around Friday afternoon, the islands look terrible, no lights installed yet.
You would think they would have had this done by fair week.

  2. Has the city fired the contractor that was installing the islands? There has not been a sole working on them for a week or so now.

  3. The city council minutes state that the lights will not be installed until the last of August.
The landscaping will be done later in the fall.
It looks terrible and with all the people coming for the fair you would think they would have had the lights up at least.
Very poor planning in my opinion, but par for the course for Greenville.

  4. I would've liked to see them remove the circle, a lot of people don't know how to drive around it anyway.

You could have said - "a lot of people don't know how to drive" and they just happen to meet at the traffic circle the quote is very correct, and we allow them to breed!
