This game looked like a classic through the first quarter, with Versailles scoring two touchdowns on the #2 ranked St. Henry. Versailles struck quick with a long touchdown on the second play from scrimmage. And their second drive included three fourth down conversions, with the final conversion being a halfback pass for a touchdown.
But St. Henry pulled away in the second quarter with its one-two receiver duo of the quick Neil Schweiterman - and the 6'7" Victor Fortkamp. Quarterback Brad Stahl was nearly mistake-free. St. Henry wins this one 40-19.
