Edison Community College Holiday Evening - December 4th

CHRISTMAS CHEERS! ... If you have been to the Edison Community College Holiday Evening in the past, you won’t need convincing to attend this year’s performance. If you haven’t been yet – you should make this the year you go!

On Friday, December 4th, a cappella group “Straight No Chaser” will entertain the guests at the 12th Holiday Evening at Edison, all in the name of scholarships.

Straight No Chaser take their music very seriously – they just don’t take themselves too seriously. In the process, they are reinventing the idea of a cappella on the modern pop landscape. The 10-member group, who claimed the top spot last December on iTunes and Amazon.com with their debut album, HOLIDAY SPIRITS, originally formed thirteen years ago while students at Indiana University. In an era when so much pop music is the product of digital processing and vocal pro-tooling, Straight No Chaser is the real deal – the captivating sound of ten unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music. Their runaway success of “The 12 Days of Christmas,” has become a viral video phenomenon, and inspired a re-energizing of other holiday classics such as “The Christmas Song”, “Silent Night”, and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”. If their captivating and powerful vocal arrangements don’t get you, their humor and entertainment will.

The Holiday Evening at Edison is a grand and iconic kickoff to the holiday season, filled with elegance, entertainment and benefaction. And through the generosity of event sponsors and attendees, the event continues as the premier fundraising event for scholarships for Edison students. Become a part of this tradition. You may pledge your sponsorship support and request an invitation by contacting the Terri Jacomet at (937)778-7806 or emailing Terri at tjacomet@edisonohio.edu.
