As the owners, we truely do appreciate the concern expressed by 'anonymous' about the prices at BTO. Before we began the BTO project, we searched for both the very best yogurt product on the market and also wanted to give the people of Darke a nice place to enjoy it inside with a little different atmosphere. There are many lesser products 'out there' to be had and we cannot comment on the quality of what other businesses serve. Some products are pumped with air to inflate the size. With BTO, you get what you see - its very cold and solid. At a cost of $14 a customer would have gotten 36 ounces of yogurt and toppings - divided by 3 people - thats 12 ounces each, which is quite a bit of yogurt.
ReplyDeleteYogurt is a higher priced product than Ice Cream and not all yogurt has live active probiotic cultures - BTO's does.
By providing a clean, safe, fun, inside environment in which to bring your family and guests, we do have a larger overhead cost than a strictly drive-thru or walk up facility.
We do try to keep our costs as low as we can, but with the healthy product and the inside facility operating year-round, we can only go so low and offer so much of a discount without operating at a loss.
We truely do understand the wish to get a great treat at a low price, but the costs drive the price unfortunately. We would like to invite 'anonymous' in to BTO for a 10% dicount and please share with us your feelings and we will be happy to share ideas about how we might offer additional discounts.
People asked for smaller cups, so we ordered them and they are now available. Some asked for coffee and as of the 14th it is now available. We are listening and we really do appriciate the input.
