Meet and Greet the new the Economic Development Director Marc Saluk - Nov. 17

The Darke County Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) and the Darke County Chamber of Commerce are hosting a ‘Meet and Greet’ event to provide residents a chance to meet with new Economic Development Director, Marc Saluk.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17 at The Bistro Off Broadway in Greenville from 5 to 7 p.m. Light hors d'oeuvres will be provided.

“The search for a new EDD has attracted significant attention over the past year. Now that Marc is in place, we want to provide a casual setting where residents can meet him, see what kind of person he is, and talk about his approach to the position,” said CIC President Phil Garbig.

Saluk officially started as Economic Development Director on Nov. 2 following a lengthy search involving over 300 candidates for the position. He states that he wants his office to “make a lot of noise”.

“Obviously, we can’t discuss specifics about projects we are working on due to confidentiality agreements,” explained Saluk. “However, where possible, I want to keep the citizens of Darke County current on our activities, goals, and programs. The office will always be open and accessible, and transparent when appropriate.”

He added that he looks forward to meeting with as many citizens as possible at the Nov. 17 event and hearing their views of the county’s past, present, and future, as it pertains to economic growth.

Dress at the ‘Meet and Greet’ is casual.
