Railroad crossing to be closed

CSX Railroad has informed the Village of Versailles that the Olive St. and Steffin Street railroad crossings in Versailles will be closed beginning November 16 to allow CSX to reconstruct a section of the crossings. The crossings are scheduled to reopen Nov. 18. To avoid the Steffin Street crossing, local motorists are encouraged to use either the North West Street, North Center Street, or Second Street crossings during the three day period. CSX and the Village of Versailles appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience as improvements are being, made to the local railroad crossings.
