  1. Is there any reason that this event was better covered by a Miami County new source rather than one from Darke Co?

  5. yeh right. You think if I showed up at this so called public meeting and started asking them questions and not leting them talk there way out of it without a direct answer that they wouldnt ask me to leave.I know they would because I dont fit there cryteria or Im not born and raised in this town.I have lived here for 8 years this time around and went to school here in the 80s so I know how this town works. If you dont have money or your mommy and daddy arent connected you dont have a chance.Oh yeh Barb if this WAS a public meeting why was it billed as canidates address THE WOMANS CLUB a club is not public. If you want to have a PUBLIC meeting set up in the gym at the high school or some where were every body can have there say not a womans club.

  7. Mr. Duke:

How would you like to be informed of a public meeting? Personal telephone call? If the newspapers, blogs, etc. are no good---how do you want your notification? Or do you have an issue with women?

  8. I was glad to be there and cover the story and thanks DarkJournal.com for linking it. Darke County is geographically our neighbor (to Miami County) but is so fascinatingly different. These candidates have done 3 events that I have been invited to cover in Darke County in the past two weeks and will be doing more I am sure. @Duke, the Women's Club invited them to speak, and the event was public (you just had to call and tell them you would like to come). You don't have to be rich or connected to ask these guys a question or have your voice heard. Their email addresses and phone numbers are on the Women's Club website.
