Without Respect for Life, Freedom is in Jeopardy

Minority Leader John Boehner delivered remarks at the National Right to Life Convention in Pittsburgh, where he received the National Right to Life Legislative Leadership Award for his pro-life leadership in Congress. [Boehner's office forwarded the link for the video below].

  1. I cant belive that the right to life movement gets this much coverage. Women should be outraged by this from our leaders.

  2. Unequivocally, the "respect of life" is an enduring principle of freedom. Disregard for life diminishes the value of life. When value of life is diminished, or even worse subjective in value the end result is the decline of any civilization.

  3. James you could not be more wrong. Every civilization declines as the value of life increases. Read a book.

  4. Men and women should be outraged at the disregard for human life, which manifests itself in abortion as well as abuse of others and crimes against others. Basic respect for life means you do not kill unborn babies, do not abuse or neglect children, do not steal from or kill others. If we treated animals like we are able to treat humans for the sake of "freedom", we would be thrown into jail. Women should be outraged but not for the reasons you think, Donna. We should be outraged at how often we are hurt because of this basic lack of respect for life.

The perception of most of you, combined with the fact that nothing has been done to change Roe v. Wade in the last 37 years, is why people like Boehner continue to be elected. Take a bow.

  6. Read between the lines. Forget the issue, remove Boehner. All incumbents out in the fall.

  7. Amen Bruce, I will vote for a third party candidate before I vote for Boehner.
He is part of the problem, not the solution.
