Have you ever thought about volunteering for your community? If so, then we need YOU to help on September 25 and September 26 at Shawnee Prairie Preserve. During these two days, the Friends of the Darke County Parks will be holding the 10th annual PRAIRIE DAYS FESTIVAL. We are in need your help assisting the public with pioneer activities and crafts (candle dipping, tussie mussies, tin-smithed lanterns, pioneer hats, sewing bean bags, and rope making, etc.), setting up exhibits, stirring apple butter, running the Log House and lots more! This is a wonderful experience to build a resume and/or to enjoy a fun free weekend visiting with other people throughout Darke County.
