Pets of the week

The Darke County Animal Shelter presents his pets of the week:
King is a 4-month-old Shepherd mix. He is black and brown with short hair. He is a nice little guy but will grow to around 80 pounds. He is a very friendly puppy and is ready for adoption.

Sweetheart is a 2-month-old black Lab puppy. She is black with short hair. She is a wonderful puppy, loves people and loves to play. She is current on her shots and is ready for adoption.

Bailie is a 9-month-old Red Heeler (Australian Cattle dog). She is white and red with short hair. She is house broken and good with kids. She is a friendly girl and loves to play. She is ready for adoption.

We also have a little Chihuahua mix, a black lab, 2 shepherd mixes, a Pointer mix, a Yorkie mix and numerous other dogs. We also have cats and kittens for adoption.

The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone number is 547- 1645.
The "Darke County Friends of the Shelter" in conjunction with Wal-Mart will be taking pictures of your pet with Easter Bunny.

On Saturday April 2nd 2011 from 10am till 2pm you are invited to bring your companion animals and kids to the Wal-Mart Store in Greenville to get their picture taken with Easter Bunny. All proceeds will go to the "Darke County Friends of the Shelter" a 501c3 organization. The cost of the photo is only $3.00 and all monies go towards helping the dogs and cats at the Darke County Animal Shelter. All companion animals must enter Wal-Mart through the Garden Center entrance. For more information you can contact the Animal Shelter at 937- 547-1645.
