Are you interested in pet therapy with your pet? A new pet therapy group is being formed in Darke County. Training for you and your dog to pass the Therapy Dog International certification test will begin Wednesday, May 18th at 6:30 p.m. The classes will be held each Wednesday for 5 weeks at Jeannie's Pooch Parlor on St. Rt. 502. Each class will be around 1 to 1 1/2 hours in length. Testing will be held at the same location in July. Owners must present a veterinarian certificate of vaccination. All dogs must have up to date Rabies, Bordetella and Parvo/Distemper vaccines.
Pet therapy is a very rewarding activity. Our group will visit various nursing homes, hospitals, preschools, schools and assisted living facilities. Please call Jeannie's Pooch Parlor at 937-548-6287 for more information or to sign up.
