Living with Cancer Support group to be held September 1st, 2011

The next meeting of the “Living with Cancer” Support Group will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The meeting will feature Mr. BJ Paulus speaking on the benefits of exercise for cancer patients. The September support group will be held on the 3rd floor conference room at Wayne HealthCare.

BJ Paulus, has a B.S. in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from Georgetown College and has held positions as a Strength and Speed Coach and a Fitness Specialist in various areas of the country. Mr. Paulus has also played football for National Champion Georgetown College, multiple Arena Football teams, and even participated in the European Football League. BJ has been involved in the fitness arena for many years and has helped many people through their recovery from cancer.

Your local and independent Cancer Association of Darke County sponsors the “Living with Cancer” group in cooperation with Wayne HealthCare and the YMCA of Darke County. The Support Group is open to anyone that has been diagnosed with cancer; the family and friends of an individual with cancer are encouraged to attend the group as well. Facilitating the support group meetings will be Warren Richards from the Cancer Association, Kay Kirby, Jill Brown, and Vicky Henderson from Wayne Hospital, and Pam Spitler from Breast Cancer Awareness of Darke County.
