On Saturday, February 18,2012, there will be a Casino Night Fundraiser to benefit The Children's Medical Center of Dayton. Doors will open at 5:30pm with dinner at 6:30pm followed by Casino Games and prizes. There will be a 50/50 raffle, cash bar and will culminate with a live auction featuring a diamond necklace, Kitchen Aid stand mixer and more. Tickets are $25 each.

After experiencing the services provided by The Children's Medical Center of Dayton, Eileen Tobe decided it was her obligation to give back. When her youngest son was born 25 years ago with underdeveloped ears and no ear canals, she became very familiar with the hospital and staff through the duration of the surgeries and treatments. Today her son wears hearing aids and functions just like any other person and has overcome this "disability."

There are many families in the Mercer County area that have been affiliated with The Children's Medical Center of Dayton. One of these individuals is Mitchell Franzer, a 14 year old at St. Henry Middle School. Mitchell was a Youth Ambassador for The Children's Medical Center of Dayton for 2009-2010. Mitchell was born with spina bifida and has endured numerous surgeries, but maintains a positive outlook on life. He now does many things for Children's as he sees how important this hospital is for many people.

Tickets for the Casino Night Fundraiser are on sale now and can be purchased by calling Eileen Tobe at 419-375-4534 or Sandy Franzer at 419-925-4312. Donations for the casino game prizes or monetary contributions are also being accepted. You can also support the fundraiser by eating at Bob Evans in Greenville, February 3-5, when they will donate 15% of sales when you present the fundraiser flyer.
