The 2012 GGSA/GCBL Cornhole Tournament is scheduled to be held Saturday, February 25th, at Paws Bingo Hall in Greenville. The tournament has become one of the best in the area and is a major lure for some of the top players in the region. Last year many of the top ranked players in the nation competed for the coveted $1,000 doubles purse. The tournament is a good fundraiser for both the Greenville Girls Softball Association and the Greenville Citizens Baseball League who have combined forces to put on the tournament for what will be a fourth straight year. If you are a cornhole player or would like to see some very good players toss, Paws Bing Hall will be the place to be on February 25th.
The format has changed a little this year as the singles tournament will be held first, followed by the doubles tournament. Sign-in begins at 11:00 AM with the first toss for the singles tournament being at 12:00 Noon.
Doubles sign-ins also begin at 11:00 AM and will be taken throughout the singles event up until 2:45 PM. First toss for the doubles tournament will take place at 3:00 PM or when the singles tournament is complete.
Entry fee for the doubles tournament is $40 per team while the singles tournament entry fee is $20 per individual. Doubles tournament payout is a $1,000 guaranteed purse while the singles tournament payout will be based on a 75% payout formula.
