Rep. Richard Adams Releases Statement on “Skilled Workforce Recognition Month”

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today unanimously passed House Resolution 292, which designates the month of March 2012 as “Skilled Workforce Recognition Month” in Ohio.

The sponsor of H.R. 292, State Representative Richard Adams (R-79th District), has released the following statement:
“The state of Ohio is truly blessed to have a talented workforce that understands the demands of the 21st century marketplace and continues to strive to improve. Honoring our skilled workforce this month is one way we can thank these hardworking individuals for their contributions to our state’s overall health and competitiveness in the global economy.
“Throughout this General Assembly, unprecedented efforts have been made to strengthen Ohio’s workforce by examining the various issues surrounding workforce development and looking at ways to improve in these areas. The Workforce Development Study Committee, of which I was a member, travelled throughout the state of Ohio during the fall to hear from interested individuals, experts, and citizens about our state’s workforce issues. I believe that as we continue to move forward into this productive and innovative economy that we have fostered, Ohio’s workforce will similarly continue to be positively impacted as well.”
