The Dayton Daily News is reporting that the OHSAA has approved adding wheelchair track & field events next year, culminating with events at the state track & field meet.
Athletes who qualify will participate in the 100m, 400m and 800m races as well as the shot put. They will wear their school's colors, but will not receive points towards the overall team score.
According the DDN, Ohio becomes one of a dozen or so states to add such events to their state championship meets.
