EUM CHURCH OFFERS FALL CLASSES

This Fall, EUM Church is hosting several classes that offer enrichment for your spiritual life. Find out how God can work in your life and how He wants you to respond. These classes include:

  • Essential Beliefs – Take this class to get grounded in the basics of the Christian faith and begin to grow spiritual roots that will sustain you in your walk with Jesus Christ. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
  • Experiencing God – God is inviting you to experience Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to you His will, His ways, and His work. Through the biblical principles in this course, God can teach you how to know when He is speaking to you; recognize His activity around you; adjust your life to Him and His ways; identify what He wants to do through you; and respond to His activity in your life. Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
  • Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit – In the name of the Father, the Son, and... the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit—the Helper—so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Unfortunately, today's church has admired the gift but neglected to open it. You’re invited to stop and remember the One we've forgotten, the Spirit of the living God. Sundays, 6:30 pm
  • If Our Hearts Condemn Us…, Will God? – The focus of this study will be the heart. Life, with all of its bewildering relationships, zooms toward us from all directions at the speed of light. We could use some help grappling with those realities. Learning that God turns out to be God and not a man in His determination to come along side us for our good, may genuinely surprise us. The process of conditioning our hearts in our relationships is critical in bringing us safely home with Him! Sundays, 11:15 pm
  • Move for God – The goal of this 12 week program is to prepare people to be better witnesses for Christ physically, mentally, and spiritually. Titled "Run for God", this program will help you understand the parallels of persevering in your faith through Bible study, and persevering in getting healthy by preparing you for a 5K walk/run. Hebrews 12:1b says, "..Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." (NIV) Whether you are just beginning or are an avid runner, this program is for you. Take your first step and sign up today. Tuesdays, 6:00 pm
  • Remnant Class – The focus of this study will be the heart. Sundays, 9:45 am
  • S.O.A.P. Bible Study – As we read God's words, we begin to see how God responds to things. Doing daily devotions re-patterns the way we think and transforms the spirit of the mind. Then when we face similar situations as Jesus did, we begin to respond in the same way. Journaling is an excellent way to both record and process what God has spoken to us. It's also a useful tool to use at a later time, to reflect on and review some of the 'gems' that you have received. Without writing them down, you may forget those blessings and some very important lessons! Through discussion, you may be able to look deeper into what God is speaking to you, gain new insight and even encourage others. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
  • Stephen Ministry Training – Jesus affirmed the Old Testament teaching to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18). There are many ways to do this and Stephen Ministry is one important, tangible way to show God’s love to others. The slogan for Stephen Ministry is “Christ caring for people through people.” All of us are called to care and this class will give you the skills you need to care in the name of Christ. Some of the classes include: Feelings, The Art of Listening, Process vs. Results, and Distinctively Christian Caring, just to name a few. Whether you become a part of this one-to-one care ministry or not, this training will help you in your everyday life. Mondays, 6:30 pm starting October 15.
  • The Truth Project – In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation. Let this class be a starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
  • Malachi—A Love that Never Lets Go – A women's Bible study on the book of Malachi that focuses on God's mercy. On our worst day, God doesn't walk away from us. And His love for us is not determined by our performance. No matter how many times we mess up, God loves (and never leaves) broken people. "I the LORD do not change" Malachi 3:6. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
  • The Shelter of God’s Promises – In a world of uncertainty, pain, and struggle, where do you find solid assurance and unshakeable truth? In this Bible study, Sheila Walsh primes Scripture for what God has promised us, what God’s promises mean, and how these promises provide the foundation for daily confidence, joy and hope. Thursdays, 9:30 am
  • Crown Biblical Financial - The most important thing related to managing money is the attitude of your heart. If you have a desire make a head and heart change about your attitude toward money, join us for this 10-week course that will teach you these life-changing skills, as well as the basics of budgeting, debt reduction and planning for the future. The cost is $50 per single or $60 per couple. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
