Careflight Called, Power Knocked Out After Crash on 36 Near Palestine

On September 4, 2012 at approximately 8:07 PM Darke County Deputies along with Tri-Village Rescue, Liberty Township Fire, and CareFlight were dispatched to the 1200 block of US Route 36 west in reference to an injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 Grand Caravan driven by Latisha Bell, 25; Richmond, Ind. was driving eastbound when she went off the side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. Mrs. Bell’s vehicle over turned, went through a utility pole, and came to rest on its side. Mrs. Bell was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital were her condition is listed as stable.

DP&L was called to the scene due to live wires being down on the ground.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
