TobyMac headlines Christian music concert in Greenville

GREENVILLE – On Sept. 16, one of the most recognizable names in Contemporary Christian music will hit the stage at the Darke County Fairgrounds for the sixth annual Illumination Festival. TobyMac and a top-notch line-up of national and regional talent will be on-hand to entertain and inspire. Joining TobyMac on stage will be Jamie Grace, The City Harmonic, Shonlock, Tommy Renfro, Reese Lincoln Band and The Quest. Also appearing will be Mike Guzzardo, nationally known speaker.

Searching for a way to get more youth groups involved in the Illumination Festival, committee members formed Illumination Day One. Youth groups are encouraged to kick off their fall youth program during Illumination. Youth that don’t have a youth group are more than welcome to attend. The festival will host a special program on Sept. 15, 8 p.m., at the Darke County Fair Youth Building. Mike Guzzardo will be speaking and regional band, I Am Victorious, will provide the worship music. There will also be a youth drama presented. The cost for Illumination Day One is $5 per person or five cans of food per person. For more information on this event, visit dayone.illuminationfestival.org. Youth groups can come for the event or camping is available.

Illumination Festival continues on Sunday, Sept. 16, 9:30 a.m., with a special worship service in the Youth Building featuring Mike Guzzardo. Providing the music will be New Creation.

Following the worship service, activities will include the traditional Illumination Coffeehouse with great regional bands, air soft, inflatables, volleyball and corn hole tournament.

The corn hole tournament begins at noon with registration beginning at 11 a.m. The cost is $5 per team and McDonald’s Gift Certificates will be awarded to first through third places. Register the day of the event.

The main concert begins at 3:30 p.m. with gates opening to the Grandstand at 3 p.m.
