Local FFA Officers Installed


Recently the Greenville FFA held a special ceremony for the installation of the 2012 officers of the Greenville FFA Chapter. The 2012 FFA President Alyssa Garber, and Sentinel Molly Magato installed the new 2013 officer team into office. The new 2013 officers installed were President; Patrick Garber, 1st Vice President; Emily Vanhorn, 2nd Vice President; Thomas Shaw, Reporter; Sheiann Mead, Secretary; Rachael Schmitmeyer, Sentinel; Olivia McDade, Treasurer; Kiara Davidson, And student Advisor; Dylan Kolb.

State FFA District 5 Secretary, Craig Berning, brought greetings from the Ohio FFA Association and the State FFA Officer Team and was introduced as the featured speaker for the evening and he addressed members and parents in attendance. His comments directed to the members attending encouraged each of them to continue to make and pursue their goals, both in their personal lives and as FFA members. He told them that many good things will come to them through their involvement in the FFA if they would set their goals high and work hard to achieve those goals.

Principal Ken Neff , brought greetings from the school administration and FFA Alumni President Allan Keaser also addressed those in attendance.

The newly elected officers will lead the Greenville FFA Chapter until the year 2014. Following the meeting, parents and members enjoyed a dessert buffet of favorite goodies brought by each family. Also included in the evening’s activities was the collection of canned goods for the needy.
