Saint Paul Lutheran Church to Host Last Darke County Blood Drive of the Year

Darke County, Ohio – St. Paul Lutheran Church will host the final Darke County blood drive of the year Thursday, Dec. 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 13495 Greenville-St. Mary’s Road. Appointments are encouraged.

Everyone who registers to donate blood will receive a CBC “Blood Donor – Save Lives” knit scarf. The scarlet and grey neck warmer is both practical and stylish and arrives just in time for last-minute gift-gathering.

“This scarf represents a warm ‘thank you’ to everyone who finds the time to donate during this very busy time of year,” said CBC Donor Relations Director Andrew Keelor. “The holidays are always a special challenge, and we count on our donors to always come through.”

Also, everyone who registers to donate now through Jan. 31 will be automatically entered in a drawing to win prizes in the Darke County Days special blood drive campaign. Four winners will be announced at the end of each month. The lucky donors will take home either an iPod Touch, Kindle Fire, Vizio 32-inch TV, or Nikon Cool Pix camera. (Donors can enter the drawing only once during the campaign).

Notice about important changes to CBC’s donor ID system - CBC has assigned new, eight-digit donor identification numbers to all donors. When donors present their current CBC Donor ID card at a CBC branch or mobile drive it will be noted for replacement and the donor will receive a new plastic Donor ID card and key fob card in the mail. Donors must use their new Donor ID number to schedule appointments on www.DonorTime.com.
