BPW SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED


Four Darke County Senior High Students were notified they are winners and will receive scholarships from the Greenville Business & Professional Women’s (BPW) Club.

The Scholarship Committee consisting of Dorothy Poeppelman and Shelly Sander canvassed all eight Darke County high schools for applicants for the scholarship. The senior girl finalists gave a speech about herself and her goals for the future to the BPW Club members at the March 14th meeting. The winners announced were: Maddison Buschur from Versailles High School, Tara Guillozet from Greenville High School and Elizabeth Miller from Tri-Village.

The winners received scholarships in the amount of $500.00. Other finalists included Brittany Brand, Jessica Heitkamp, and Brooke Robinson from Versailles High School, Michelle Chen from Franklin Monroe, Morgan Goubeaux and Micaela Wright from Arcanum Butler, and Megan Stephan and Shaye Thomas from Tri Village High School.


Dorothy Poeppelman also presented the Anna Britton Scholarship to Tarah Fledderjohn. Tara is the daughter of BPW member Tasha Anderson.. The Anna Britton Scholarship is awarded to a daughter or granddaughter of any member of Greenville BPW. Anna Britton was an active member of BPW that bequeathed money to award this annual scholarship. Tarah will be attending Sinclair Community College.

The Greenville BPW Club’s mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. The Club holds fund raisers throughout the year to raise money to grant scholarships to the young women of Darke County.
