Arcanum beats Franklin-Monroe at Fifth Third Field


Traditional rivals Arcanum and Franklin-Monroe faced each other Monday night at Fifth Third Field (home of the Dayton Dragons).

Arcanum took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Connor Pohl doubled and was driven home by Collin Habel. Franklin-Monroe matched Arcanum in the top of the second inning with a Landon Peters single followed by an RBI double by Ross Burnett. Arcanum took the lead for good in the third inning with another Connor Pohl double, driving in the first of six runs in the inning. Jordan Dubbs also added a two-run single in the inning.

Dubbs also started the game and pitched the first five innings, giving up just one run and getting the win. Brett Goubeaux pitched the final two innings to seal the win for the Trojans and a final score of 9-1.
