VHCC CELEBRATES NATIONAL HEALTHCARE VOLUNTEER WEEK

In celebration of National Healthcare Volunteer Week held April 6-13, 2014, Versailles Health Care Center recognized and thanked volunteers for their hard work and dedication at a recent luncheon of pizza and salad at McBo’s Bowling Lanes in Versailles. Tokens of appreciation were given in the form of garden shovels filled with candy with attached note saying “We Dig You”. Special recognition of volunteer service years was made to the following volunteers: Beulah Fine, 27 years; Adela Hoke, 21 years; Susan Fields, 21 years; Fred Drees, 9 years; Elsie Shappie, 9 years; Connie Stammen, 5 years; Karen Doseck, 5 years; Diane Yakos, 5 years; and Judy Shappie, 10 months. Activities Director, Candy Stump, thanked volunteers, “The residents and staff at Versailles Health Care Center appreciate your kindness and thank you for the profound impact you make in the lives you touch every day. You help make Versailles Health Care Center what it is today!”

Versailles Health Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that offers short-term rehab services, outpatient therapy, and long-term care. If you would like to join the volunteer program at the care center, please call Candy Stump at 526-5570.
