Main Street Greenville's Food Truck Rally was a Great Success

Sunday evening saw a new event put together by Main Street Greenville and a handful of volunteers. The event was called "Eat on the Street" (which you probably read about here and on our facebook page a dozen times in the last week).

Three food trucks set up next to the elementsLife building on West Third Street. Voodoo Taco, Harvest Mobile Cuisine, and The Shakery Juice Bar provided a variety of unique foods while Jennifer Murray provided live music for the crowd (which Main Street Greenville estimates topped 500 people).

Main Street Executive Director Amber Garrett said the event was put together thanks to the volunteer efforts of CJ Jasenski, Kim Murray, Jennifer Murray, Kristina Murray, Rob Garrett, Jason Williams, Matt Steyer, and Scott Fitzgerald, as well as the Greenville City Park for lending a few picnic tables for seating.

Let me be the 501st person to say PLEASE LET THIS BECOME A REGULAR EVENT! While I had food from Harvest Mobile and loved it, I heard nothing but great things about food from the other vendors as well. It's easy to think how great this could be with a rotating slate of trucks who could come offer great variety to compliment the offerings we have at local establishments.

Check out a few photos of ours below, but make sure to like Main Street Greenville on Facebook and check out all of their fantastic photos as well.
