MIAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEEKING WITNESSES TO FATAL CRASH

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is continuing our investigation of a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of S.R. 41 & Washington Rd. in Concord Township. The crash was reported at 12:31 P.M. on Monday, July 21st. Our crash reconstruction team has preliminarily determined that a 2004 Buick sedan operated by Melinda S. Flory (age 61), of W. S.R. 718, Covington, Ohio was traveling north on Washington Rd. and was in the middle of the intersection when struck by a 2010 Toyota Scion traveling east on S.R. 41 and operated by Rachel B. Davis (age 25), of Mulberry-Grove-Rakestraw Rd. Piqua, Ohio. Troy Fire Department Medics attempted resuscitation of Mrs. Flory, however she was later pronounced at the scene. Ms. Davis had no apparent injuries; however she was transported to U.V.M.C. by Troy F.D. Medics to be checked.
