Deer Hunter Workshop at Spring Valley Range October 23rd

Xenia, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife (ODNR/DOW) in conjunction with the Ohio Trapper and Hunter Education Instructor Association (OTHEIA) will host a Deer Hunter Workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Spring Valley Shooting Range, on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

There is a $5.00/person fee for the workshop and will cover a lite meal that will be served at 6:30pm. Participants under 12 years of age attend for free. Please register by sending a check payable to OTHEIA, along with your name, address, phone number, email, and total number of participants to Terry Yinger, Box 62206, Cincinnati, 45262.

Presentations will include speakers from Old Town Butcher Shop and the Division of Wildlife, as well as presentations on field dressing, preparing venison for the freezer and the table, and skinning and butchering. The Division of Wildlife will cover wildlife issues, management of Ohio’s deer herd and laws and regulations for the upcoming season.
