“Lone Survivor” Playing at Edison

Held in conjunction with Peace Week, Edison Community College will host a viewing of “Lone Survivor,” starring Mark Wahlberg on Thursday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Robinson Theater. The event is open to the community and offered free of charge.

Based on the 2007 non-fiction book of the same name, “Lone Survivor” tells the bloody, poetic, and true story of four Navy SEALS on a secret mission to kill a Taliban leader. What happens when they stumble across a trio of goat herders will test their survival skills. This film is rated “R” and is intended for mature audiences.

Following the film, a discussion of the movie will be led by Edison Professor, Steve Marlowe and will feature a panel of veterans from recent wars. For further information regarding this event, contact William Loudermilk at wloudermilk@edisonohio.edu.
