Fifty-five of over 300 Reid volunteers were awarded service pins to commemorate completion of milestone years of service in 2014. “The volunteers honored tonight donated 97,500 hours of service in 2014,” said Becky Jewison, director of Volunteer Services. “We cannot begin to express our appreciation for the work all of our volunteers do.”
Volunteers are awarded service pins for each unit of 500 hours up to 3000 hours, and then for each 1000-hour unit up to 5000 hours.
Betty Dudley and Kay Karn received 5000-hour pins and will have their names added to the 5000-hour plaque. Active volunteers with 5000 or more hours include Phyllis Alexander, Roger Bass, Sarah Beck, Nancy DeLucio, Romaine DeLucio, Susan Elzemeyer, Betty Gilbert, Cornelia Merrill, Roma Meyer, Dick Resh, Ida Shields, Doris Wagner and Carol Wolke.
The honorees for 2015 include:
