The dramatic play requires three roles to be filled. The main character, a veteran with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is the only person on stage. Any veteran ranging from a 65-year-old Vietnam combat veteran to a 24-year-old Afghanistan combat veteran can play the part.
The other two parts will perform off stage and are never seen by the audience: a man and his wife/girlfriend. The ages of these characters can be a man and woman in their twenties or thirties.
Veteran actor Jayson Grigsby is the director and William Loudermilk, Associate Professor of English, will provide the music before and after the play. Combat veteran and professor, Carl DeSantis will facilitate the discussion of the issues following the one-act play.
The performances will be held on November 10 at 12 and 7 p.m. at the Robinson Theater at the Piqua Campus and November 13 at 7:30 at the Mayflower Arts Center in Troy.
