This position of Youth Advocate will work with targeted youth and office located at Tri-Village School. List of responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate and teach activities that promote social/character skill building in collaboration with staff/activities within the school system.
- Speak in the classrooms promoting character building, health safety, college readiness and career preparation
- Assist with screening and matching up mentors with mentees
- One-on-one support with mentees to develop goals and help youth work to achieve them
- Positive rapport with mentees and staff
- Coordinate field trips and educational outings
- Develop community presentations
- Communicate and establish a relationship with community, volunteer mentors and area businesses
The position is for 24 hours a week and requires an associate’s degree in Human Services or related field plus two years’ experience working with youth.
