New Community Program – New Position

Join our Team as we begin a new Community Connectors program for youth here in Darke County.

This position of Youth Advocate will work with targeted youth and office located at Tri-Village School. List of responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate and teach activities that promote social/character skill building in collaboration with staff/activities within the school system.
  • Speak in the classrooms promoting character building, health safety, college readiness and career preparation
  • Assist with screening and matching up mentors with mentees
  • One-on-one support with mentees to develop goals and help youth work to achieve them
  • Positive rapport with mentees and staff
  • Coordinate field trips and educational outings
  • Develop community presentations
  • Communicate and establish a relationship with community, volunteer mentors and area businesses

The position is for 24 hours a week and requires an associate’s degree in Human Services or related field plus two years’ experience working with youth.
