Autism Spectrum support group to host October meetings

Darke County's autism spectrum disorder (ASD) support and resource group, ASD in the Darke, will meet Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 pm. Meetings take place on the third Thursday of the month at 1123 Wayne Ave., Greenville, which used to be a church.

The group will host a sensory-friendly Halloween-themed meeting on Oct. 27, 7-9 pm also at 1123 Wayne Ave., Greenville. Guests are asked to bring a snack to share and their own drinks. Everyone is welcome! Costumes encouraged, but not necessary.

Caring for loved ones on the autism spectrum can be a challenge, and oftentimes one feels alone in their journey; come join the group to talk about the issues facing the autism community, the challenges of raising children on the spectrum and to learn more about what resources are available locally from paren ts who have been there!

Every adult who attends either meeting will be entered into a drawing for a free photo session with Chock Full of Love Photography (https://www.facebook.com/chockfullphotography), winner to be drawn at the end of each meeting.

Can't make it to the meeting? Join the Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/groups/asdindarke. Have questions? Email asdinthedarke@gmail.com or call Heather at 937-417-9274.
