Darryl Mehaffie Receives DCCA Patron of the Arts Award


Darryl Mehaffie, with wife Mary Ann, is the recent recipient of
the prestigious William L. Combs Patron of the Arts Award, given
in recognition of Mehaffie’s significant contribution to the Arts.
Darryl Mehaffie is the recent recipient of the prestigious William L. Combs Patron of the Arts Award. Presented at Darke County Center for the Arts’ opening performance of the 2015-2016 Artists Series on October 10, the award was given in recognition of Mehaffie’s significant contribution to the Arts.

“As past Chair and current Director, DCCA and Memorial Hall are where they are today because of his tireless efforts, stated DCCA Executive Director, Andrea Jordan. “Darryl Mehaffie serves our community at the local, regional and state level, his contributions are more than exceptional.”

The William L. Combs Patron of the Arts Award was established by Darke County Center for the Arts in 1988 to recognize those who have made an exceptional contribution to cultural enrichment in our community. Previous recipients of this award include John Winters, Clara Elliott, Hance & Hester Hildebrand, Mary Frances Schultz, Jean Louise Thieme, Martha & William Benkert, Theodore O. Finnarn, Elaine & James Longfellow, Ralph & Donna Plessinger, Patricia Haines, Roberta & David Feltman, Julie & Thomas H. Graber, James & Enid Goubeaux, and Julie Strait.
