DAVE KNAPP FORD AND DARKE COUNTY YMCA PARTNER TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ANNUAL COMMUNITY PARTNERS PROGRAM

Test-drive fundraising event generated much-needed money for the YMCA’s Annual Community Partners Program that helps to support families of our community.

Greenville, OH – Dave Knapp Ford, the YMCA of Darke County, and members of the local community helped raise significant funds for the 2015 Community Partners Campaign at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford’s Driven To Give program. More than 120 Darke County area residents test-drove a Ford vehicle held at the Y on Tuesday, October 20. For each car driven, Dave Knapp donated $20. The funds generated will specifically go towards providing youth and families with financial assistance that will make it possible for all to join as members and for them to benefit from the life enhancing programs and activities the Y has to offer.

Since the program’s inception, the Driven To Give program has generated more than $4 million in donations for educational or charitable organizations nationwide. The money raised during the Driven To Give program has helped ensure that programs continue in local communities despite budgetary constraints and funding cuts.

“I am deeply touched that so many people from the local community turned out to support the Y and our annual Community Partners Program through Driven to Give, said Sam Casalano, YMCA of Darke County CEO. “We appreciate everyone who took time to test drive a new car and helped make this such a successful event. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause and the funds raised will directly be used to benefit members of our local community.”

Dave Knapp Ford, and Dave Knapp personally, are great supporters of the Y and our community. “In addition to supporting our annual campaign efforts, Dave gives generously of his time and talents to benefit many wonderful community organizations and his deep caring for Greenville’s youth is evident in all that he does,” said Casalano. “We are blessed to have such a community-minded business owner in Darke County like Dave Knapp.”
