BASF has also been a long-time financial supporter of the Darke Co. Special Olympics Program. The 2015 program served over 300 athletes competing at the local, area, and state levels in basketball, cheerleading, bowling, softball, Unified golf, swimming, and track & field. The yearly programming is funded totally by donations from our community; no funding from the national or state level Special Olympics is received to operate the annual local budget. This year’s Track and Field event will be on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:45am-2:00pm at Harmon Field next to Greenville High School with a bad weather date of Monday, May 16th.
