Authors Night Hosts Greenville Poets

It’s become a tradition to conclude the Friends of the Library’s Author’s Night series with the Greenville Poets! By April spring is in the air and everyone’s in the mood for some great poetry. Touching, poignant, deep-felt, happy, sad, and funny - they capture the whole range of life. This year they plan to focus on nature, everyone’s favorite subject.

The Greenville Poets formed in 1985 with Miriam Vermilya, Myrna Stone, and Belinda Rismiller. Today their members are Myrna Stone, Suzanne Kelly-Garrison, Cathy Essinger, Lianne Spidel, David Lee Garrison, and Belinda Rismiller.

As a group they have published ten books of poems, three volumes of translation, one book of literary criticism, and two anthologies. Each has won numerous awards, grants, and contests. Join us Friday April 22nd at Montage in downtown Greenville. Doors open at 6:00 and the poetry starts at 7:00. Enjoy music by J.R. Price and Bill Westfall and a nice supper!
