Mississinawa Valley- MVCTC FFA Equine Team Makes a Comeback

Mississinawa Valley- MVCTC equine team finished in
4th place at the Mercer County Invitational.
The Mississinawa Valley-MVCTC FFA chapter sponsors its dedicated members for various judging CDE’s each year, such as the equine team. Unlike the other teams, the equine members drew the short end of the stick and have come up coach-less for the past several years. The Mississinawa Valley- MVCTC FFA chapter is beyond proud to note the improvements and successes the 2016 equine team has accomplished. The team consists of senior, Hope Jankowski, juniors, Kelsie Hunt and Jennifer Teegarden, and freshmen, Sidnie Hunt and Olivia Murphy.

The dedication and diligence of this group has astounded the chapter. In the equine judging CDE the students must identify tack and equipment, judge two showmanship classes, a western pleasure class, and a hay quality class. This group has worked extremely hard to achieve excellence in all of the standards expected of them. They have competed at three invitational contests so far, including: Mercer County, Miami Trace, and Marysville. At the Mercer County invitational contest the team placed 4th. The chapter is proud of the achievements the team has made.
