Greenville Art Guild to Hold Annual Art Show

The Greenville Art Guild will hold its 41st annual art show September 24 through September 27 at Shawnee Prairie Nature Center, 4267 State Route 502, Greenville, Ohio. All area amateur, professional or student artists (age 14-22) are invited to exhibit their original artwork in the following categories: drawing media, (graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pen and ink), oil, acrylics (executed in the manner of oils), pastel, water media (transparent watercolor and aquatic medium), mixed media, photography, miniatures (4"x6" or smaller not including frame) and three dimensional (pottery, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, stained glass and art in the round or relief format). Entries must be postmarked by Friday, September 9 and each artist is limited to three entries. Art may be delivered to the nature center on September 21, 2-6 p.m.

We are excited to announce that Daniel Brown, an accomplished artist from Troy, will be our judge this year. Dan is well known for his automobile paintings that are exhibited extensively in the Troy area. The awards presentation and reception will be September 23 at 7 p.m. and the show will open to the public beginning with Prairie Days on September 24 and ending on September 27. All artwork must be picked up between 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27.
