As the dog days of summer rush by; your Versailles Area Museum is planning a road trip to another interesting site.
On Thursday, August 11th we will carpool to nearby Fountain City, Indiana leaving at 10:00 a.m. and visit the Levi Coffin house for a 11:00 a.m. tour to learn about the Underground Railroad. This unique piece of American history runs right by us and yet many do not know about this important American story in our neighborhood.
The cost is $2.00 (no credit cards) to tour the Levi Coffin house; your lunch (at the Family Diner) and shopping are at your expense and a gratuity to your driver is always a nice gesture.
We are VERY limited on space and can only take 18 guests so reserve your spot NOW!
