THE OLD ARCANA HOSTS JAMES BEARD AWARD NOMINATED CHEF FOR COLLABORATIVE 10-COURSE CHARITY DINNER

(August 3, 2016, ARCANUM, OHIO) On August 13th, The Old Arcana will play host to Chef Alan Sternberg, 2016 James Beard Award "Rising Star Chef" Semifinalist and Executive Chef at Cerulean Indianapolis on his first stop in his exploration of the midwest. Chef Sternberg will be visiting local farms and purveyors as he gathers research for his upcoming cookbook.

The celebratory product of his journey through Darke County will be a 10-course collaborative dinner with Chef Jeff Besecker of The Old Arcana and Guest Chef Aimee Saling from Four Points by Sheraton Cincinnati North.

The evening’s menu will utilize fresh produce and meats of the season from local Miami Valley farms in creative and elevated presentations. Familiar farm favorites like sweet corn, peas, squash and watermelon will be paired with Ohio beef, fish, ofal and cheeses in unique combinations that highlight the bounty of the summer season.
