Aging Smart

OSU Extension, Darke County, has scheduled an “Aging Smart” 3 week program. Older adults, 65+ are the fastest growing population group in the United States. Ohio currently has 2.5 million people over age 60 and 1.7 million over age 65. By 2035, over 28% of Ohio’s population will be over 60. Most older adults want to remain independent and live at home, so we will cover three areas to help: Preventing Falls in Your Home, Keeping Safe and Aging & Eating. These classes will be held November 1, 8 and 15, 2016, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.

November 1, 2016 – Preventing Falls in Your Home
November 8, 2016 – Keeping Safe
November 15, 2016 – Aging and Eating

The “Aging Smart” classes will be held at the OSU Extension Learning Center at 603 Wagner Avenue, Greenville OH 45331. There is no charge for this class.

To register or for further information, please call OSU Extension at 937-548-5215 or email Diane Barga at barga.8@osu.edu. There is a limit of 20 attendees. Registration needs to be complete by October 26, 2016.
