CANDIDATES NIGHT ON WAVE CHANNEL 5


Did you miss seeing the candidates at the recent League of Women Voters’ Candidates Night? You can watch the candidates on Wave Channel 5/Greenville Public Access TV.

Please be sure to see the program at the many convenient times. It lasts less than 1 1/2 hours and will be broadcast without any editing from October 12 through October 31at the following times: MONDAYS, 6 AM & 11 AM; TUESDAYS, 11 AM; WEDNESDAYS, 6 PM; THURSDAYS, 11 AM & 8 PM; FRIDAYS, 11 AM, 6 & 9 PM; SATURDAYS, 3 PM and SUNDAYS, 11 AM & 6 PM.

The event begins with very brief introductions by unopposed Darke County candidates on the General Election ballot who were in attendance.

The main portion of the event focused on two races. First was for Darke County Commissioner: Matthew Aultman (R ) and Leon Rogers (D) and then for Darke County Prosecutor : R. Kelly Ormsby, III ( R, incumbent) and David Rohrer (Non-party). Questions were submitted by the audience. They concluded with a one minute statement.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization with the major purpose being to inform voters about the candidates and issues. Special thanks to Mikayla Bailey of Wave TV 5 for videotaping the evening, Todd Kaiser from Bach to Rock for the sound system and for setting up the equipment, to the American Legion for use of their facility and to Lori Hoover of Greenville Schools for their help with the broadcast times. Please remember to vote before or on Tuesday, November 8.
