Greenville, OH November 2, 2016 - Becky Peterson was the recipient of the Sheryl Brinley Scholarship at the Edison College Scholarship Foundation Banquet on October 10th. The Sheryl Brinley Scholarship, sponsored by the Greenville Business and Professional Women’s Club, is awarded to a female student over the age of 25 who is enrolled full or part-time and in need of financial assistance. The scholarship is in memory of Sheryl Brinley who was a Past President, a great leader, and a mentor to many members of the local BPW club.

Becky Peterson recently moved back to Darke County to care for her grandparents and has decided to follow her dream of becoming a Surgical Nurse. She is “excited to look at the future and know that she can have a meaningful impact day-to-day on the lives of others and support them in pursuing health and well-being”. She currently is working at Upper Valley Medical Center while taking courses at Edison State College.

The Greenville BPW Club’s mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. Those interested in learning more about the Club can contact Membership Chair Deb Smith at 937/417-2434 or das24bike@gmail.com.
