The Ansonia FFA officers went on a weekend getaway from Saturday, July 29th, to Monday, July 31st, at Chenoweth trails in Greenville, OH. The team of 10 officers had loads of fun doing all sorts of activities while camping out and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.

On Saturday, the team arrived at Chenoweth Trails along with their FFA advisors (Mrs. Emily Williams and Mr. Zane Fessler). They unpacked all of their belongings and picked their bunk inside of the yurts. The day was filled with activities, and some of the kid’s favorites were taking a hike in the trails, fishing at the pond, and making s’mores by the fire.

On Sunday, everyone was up early for breakfast and a day full of work to plan the exciting upcoming events during the school year. After all of the work was completed, the kids were rewarded with an evening of swimming and kayaking in the pond, capped off with a midnight movie.

On Monday, everyone deep cleaned everything such as; the kitchen, the bathrooms, the yurts, and the outdoor cooktops, all before packing up and heading home to see their families.

The trip was very productive, allowing the officer team to train and prepare for their upcoming duties this year.
