Darke County American Legion and Fort GreeneVille DAR Receives Donations

Darke County American Legion and Fort GreeneVille Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution recently received donations for the Darke County Fair Veterans building interior renovations project. The project will provide enclosed display cases for military uniforms. Donations have been received by the following: 196th Light Infantry Brigade, 196th Commander David Eichhorn, Arcanum VFW Post 4161, Growe Farms of Ansonia, Ansonia American Legion Post 353, Hollandsburg American Legion Post 708, Greenville American Legion Post 140, Greenville Memorial VFW Post 7262 and Fort GreeneVille Chapter DAR.

Phase 1 renovations are under way and can be seen during the Great Darke County Fair. Please stop by to see the uniform cases.

Also during the fair, Fort GreeneVille will be having a

"Remember Our Troops" Operation Toy Soldier. DAR members will be asking everyone to take a toy soldier home and place it somewhere to remind everyone to keep our active military in their prayers. A donation is appreciated and the donations collected this year will go towards the Darke County Fair Veterans building interior renovations project.

"Remember Our Troops" Operation Toy Soldier will be during the Fair at the Veterans Building.
