Deer Crossing Road Leads to Crash Near Arcanum on January 3rd

On January 3, 2018 at approximately 9:45pm Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue and Arcanum Fire, responded to an injury accident located at 4032 State Route 49.

Preliminary investigation revealed a White, 1999 Honda Accord, driven by Trenda Campbell , 49, of Greenville was traveling Northwest on State Route 49. Campbell advised a deer ran onto the roadway causing her to travel off the left side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway Campbell’s vehicle struck a utility pole, overturning, and coming to rest after striking a parked motor vehicle. Campbell was treated for her injuries and released at the scene.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
