Department of Defense Vietnam War Commemoration Certificate of Appreciation

Department of Defense Vietnam War Commemoration recently awarded Fort GreeneVille Chapter DAR with a certificate of appreciation. The chapter "conducted at least six events by December 2017 that thanked and honored the veterans and their families who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War.

Fort GreeneVille Chapter committed to the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Program in 2014 and is currently still active in commemorating our local Vietnam Vets through events. Such events of appreciation have been numerous parades, proclamations, Garst Museum Medal of Honor display for U.S. Marine Pfc Douglas E. Dickey, Beam and Fowble highway dedication, donut/coffee events, MIA/POW flag raisings, Vietnam Veterans Day proclamations, Thank a Vet Vietnam 5K, Vietnam program at meetings, Greenville Library Vietnam displays, Darke County Fair Veterans Day Vietnam parade unit, and MIA/POW recognition.
