Lincoln Funeral Train - April 30

Scott Trostel, author of “The Lincoln Funeral Train” will be appearing at the Garst Museum on April 30, 2009 to help celebrate the anniversary of the Lincoln Funeral Train’s transit of Darke County on April 30, 1865.

Trostel is shown above at a recent book signing—with the scale model of the Lincoln Funeral Car he is building.

Trostel’s book will be for sale and he will be on hand to talk about the Lincoln Funeral Train and to sign books that are purchased.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. and feature light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Cost is $3 per person or two for $5. For further information, please call (937) 548-5687.

  1. Actually, this is NOT a Garst Museum event. It is an outside event, the museum room was rented by the GOP men's Club.
