R.F.'s wildflower patch sprouts a giant zinnia

Not being a gardener, I was surprised when a zinnia appeared amongst the weeds in my "wildflower" patch. The zinnia is now over 6 feet tall with 11 blooms and many buds. The best day was when a monarch butterfly, a large yellow and black butterfly and a hummingbird were on the plant all at the same time.

  2. The yellow and black butterfly was probably a Tiger Swallowtail. They are out and about here in Brookville too. I used to live in Greenville, a long time ago. If anybody remembers the restaurant downtown called, "Gerbers" owned and operated by Jerry Gerber then that was when I lived in town.
