I commend Darke Journal for providing the opportunity for those who work to hear this speech. Sadly, it is over one hour of empty rhetoric, platitudes and irrelevant anecdotes. I was impressed by two statements: "We will not raise taxes," and "We will provide the tools to help those with fewer resources to deal with the change." The first is probably why most people voted for him, and the latter is a cryptic description of what those who run schools and local governments will have to face when he achieves passage of the onerous Senate Bill 5.
